When the Street Is Your Stage

The art of street performing dates all the way back to ancient times. There was no live tweeting, periscope, or “going viral” back then but these performers often made their living entertaining curious onlookers. They make balloon animals, dance, paint, sing, play instruments, charm snakes, tell stories, do magic tricks and much more. The custom is that those passing by show their appreciation by dropping a few dollars into a jar for the artist.
These days there are few places more famous for street performers than New York City. Especially New York City subways. They do say that if you can make it there you can make it anywhere. Here is an incredible trio “TOO MANY ZOOZ” playing an original piece in Union Square Subway Station (missing their usual trumpet player)
